Okay, this isn't based on cold-hard science, just statistics. I strongly suggest you have at least one decimal place of accuracy, more if you want better precision. measure the distance between the two marks, and that's your cm/360.

The proceed to do a full 360 without lifting your mouse, and when you line it back up, mark the left side of your mouse again. You can find out your cm/360 by pointing your crosshairs in-game at something very small (such that you could easily re-align with it perfectly), and then mark down exactly where the left side of your mouse is. Later on down the road you may find that different games will require different sensitivity needs, but try to stick to consistent cm/360 across the board. If you know your cm/360, you can appropriately tune any fps to match your preferred sensitivity with exact precision. Once you find out where your sweet spot is, remember that number! Why? It's how you get aiming consistency across games. cm/360 refers to how many centimeters of horizontal movement it takes to do a full 360-degree turn while in game. I'll be using this a LOT, and to simplify things I'm going to assume you all know what DPI is already (if you don't, it's a quick google search away). Spoiler: acceleration is BAD and DPI is just a unit of measure. Perhaps someone can draft out a sequel for moba/rts/mmo.īefore starting this, I strongly suggest you look up mouse DPI and acceleration if you don't already know what these are. I don't play moba/rts/mmo, so I only have FPS advice for you today. Also, I'm not advocating a single sensitivity, but instead a very wide range of appropriate ones. 2) just because it works doesn't mean it's optimal.
